What is a Hospice? PDF Print E-mail
Hospice is the palliative approach to a serious illness, when curing is no longer the approach, but rather comfort and control of symptoms, emphasizing quality of life.  Hospice is not a place, but a concept of comfort care that can be provided wherever the patient considers home.  It may be in a residential home, an assisted living facility, or a nursing home.
